Men Fishing

Welcome to Fishing Week here at OPOD. With summer here, I am sure many of you would like to be out fishing, so we will be looking at pictures of people enjoying this past time. Today's picture is from 1903, and shows a group that had a successful day of fishing in a canoe. The picture was taken in the Adirondacks in 1903.

    1. Not just a suit and tie, but a long dress and a hat. Love it!

  2. That was common back in that day, over 100 years ago.
My uncles and dad used to show me pictures like this, long stringers of fish (trout) and in the same moment say "Boy, there just ain't fishing like this anymore...." I'd look at the 50 or so fish and say "huh, wonder why..."

  3. Now it's hard to understand difference between a fishermen and a clerk who lived 100 years ago. ))) but they look so elegant.
